BEE Binder: (Bring Everything Everyday) Check your child's behavior color and initial each day. Send in any notes and/or money in the front pocket. Thank you!
Here are a few tips for the Homework Journal:
You do not have to do all the sight word activities listed. If there is one you or your child doesn't like, choose another one. These are just suggested activities.
This is not meant to be time consuming, please let me know if it is.
The journal will go home on Monday (or the first day of the week) and is due back with completed activities on Friday (or the last day of the week).
- Label each activity with the title and date.
- Use the front and the backside of each page.

Class Community: As we build our classroom community, it is essential to teach the students to work together as a team. When students work together, they earn a class "marble" They can earn marbles for doing a great job in Connect classes, gaining compliments in the hallway, cafeteria behavior, and going above the expectations as a class. Each time they earn a marble (marbles are worth 10 points), I add it to our record sheet that is on the board. Their current goal is to earn 100 as a class and once they earn marbles they can not be taken away. After they have reached their goal, the class will earn a prize like Popcorn and PJ's or Game Day (prize ideas are greatly appreciated)! We have earned 70 marbles so far and are working toward a freezer pop party in class! Yay!! Keep encouraging your child to listen and follow directions to help the class succeed!

We would love to have you visit for lunch! Our lunch time is 11:35 am. You may eat at the extra tables in the back of the cafeteria or there are picnic tables outside the lunchroom. Both table options are reserved for you and your child only (no other children from the class can join you). Also, be sure to sign in in the office before heading to the cafeteria. We hope to see you soon!
Box Top Derby: Make sure you are on the lookout for Box Tops. For each top you clip and send in, our school receives money to be used to benefit the students. Be sure to send them in in a baggie labeled with your child's name and my name. Thanks!
