Friendship Salad- In the spirit of Thanksgiving, the kindergarten grade level will make fruit aka friendship salad. Please send in your pop-top cans of fruit by November 17th. Please also let me know if you are able to provide an additional snack (cookies, pound cake, etc.) to go with our friendship salad. We will be enjoying our special treat on Tuesday November 21st.
Homework- Our first week of homework is in the books! Please continue to reach out with any questions or concerns with homework! Here are some clarifications:
Sight Work Choices: Focus on the sight words for the current week or the words that you know your student is still struggling with.
Phonics: When stretching our words sound out the word slowly with your child. As you hear each sound count them on your fingers. At this point your child will know that word contains that many letters/sounds. Write that many dashes on the paper and say the word again challenging your student to use the sounds they know to spell the word.
