Save the Dates: !0/15 Book Fair begins, 10/18 Fall Learning Palooza, 10/19 Fall Pictures Check Out What We're Learning...Literacy: This week we will dive into the story of The Little Red Hen. We will learn what characters are and how to identify them. Be sure to discuss these 2 questions with your child as you complete your nightly reading.
Sight Words: am, at, can, go do Writing: Students will continue to learn about how writers can label their pictures to help tell a story. They will create an All About Me book that will include illustrations on certain topics and labels. We will be encouraging inventive spelling as the students will begin to learn how to sound out words and write the sounds they hear. Social Studies: The students will engage in read aloud stories , songs and videos to help them learn about the 4 seasons and how they change over time. Math: This week we will discuss comparing numbers with in five. The key vocabulary is : more, greater than, less than. Please continue to have your child count at home as the end of year goal is to count to 100. If you child needs enrichment, have them start for a random number, like 25 and count on to 100 or have them count by tens. Comments are closed.
